I think this was the first interview I’ve heard with Mikhaila where she really talked about her depression. I think that part was so important. As a dietitian it’s hard to get people to always go 100% with their diet changes/restrictions, but if they are like Mikhaila, they will never see results if they don’t. 3 weeks to recover from one food exposure, so many people just think that “cutting back” and eating less is enough. Not always.
I appreciate this podcast a lot. I recently listed to you on the wise traditions podcast and you recommended people eat at least a pound of meat a day and it was affirming. Then listening to this episode and other podcasts about the how the carnivore diet can help with autoimmune disorders I feel like I need to try it. At least for 1-3 months. I endometriosis, I think I might have lupus or hashimoto’s and I know for sure I have hypothyroidism but its so hard to increase my meat consumption when my husband says he wants to take a break from eating meat and he thinks too much meat is unhealthy. I honestly don’t think there is such a thing as too much meat. Im not sure what to do. Trying to make dinner both of us can eat is so hard.
