Just listed to this episode, and noticed that you said that grass fed/finished beef isn’t doable in Canada. Thought you should know that it is, in fact, possible up here! There’s two farms in Alberta (that I know of) doing grass fed/finished beef (Trails End, near Nanton, and Earth Works Farm, near Alix), and two grass fed dairies in BC (Grass Roots Dairy, near Salmon Arm, and I forget the name of the other). From my understanding (I’m no farmer, though I’d love to be!) is that it takes some extra work, with our cold winters and all, but it’s still totally doable.
My apologies – “may not be possible for all situations” is a better choice of words.
