The following is a real story from Katie B., a client of mine who has been working with me since September 2020.
She will be joining my upcoming nutrition group as a peer mentor to encourage and help others to stick with it.

When I first contacted Diana, I was the heaviest I had ever been at around 250 pounds. I had yo-yoed back and forth between 240 and 250 pounds for about 6 months. There are countless diets that I have tried which I won’t name, but they never worked. I was desperate for help. I have an autoimmune condition called rheumatoid arthritis. It is where my immune system attacks the soft tissue in my joints. Before meeting with Diana, I was in pain every day and totally fatigued. I could barely do dishes without wanting to take a nap, could barely take the stairs, and would lay in bed all the time. I would use my handicapped placard in my car because I would run out of breath walking from a normal parking space to the entrance of the grocery store. My moods were all over the place, and my sleep was erratic too.
Diana gave me my life back. What I love most about working with her is that she made this journey all about me. She did not put me in a category and treat me like I was in a group of people. She helped me find the amount of protein I should eat daily from animal sources. Diana has been there for me when I felt discouraged or like I could not keep going. She does not judge and does not make me feel embarrassed about my previous food choices. Diana reassured me that my sugar addiction was not my fault. She made an environment where I could be honest with myself about my habits and what I felt when I binged. She is helping me learn to be successful in using food as a necessity to live and thrive, and not an emotional crutch.
I am on week ten working with Diana as I write this. Not only have I lost 31 pounds, but I have also lost inflammation, joint pain, bad habits, rollercoaster moods, and the desire to binge. My rheumatoid arthritis is now in remission.
I have zero joint pain, no longer sleep more than 8 hours a day, fly through the dishes, and I sleep through the night with no interruption. I used to complain about not having enough “spoons” but now I have a drawer full of them with this energy I have all day. My face is clearer, my clothes fit better, and I have more stamina with my workouts. Diana pushes me and holds me accountable to become the best and healthiest version of myself.
It feels amazing to finally have the tools to take control and I truly believe Diana is what jump-started my motivation to better my health. I still have about 60 pounds to lose to be at my goal. I am 100% confident I will get there based on Diana’s guidance. It feels awesome to see the line on my weight loss graph keep going down.
To someone who is thinking about taking the step to work with Diana, I cannot recommend her enough. I totally get that asking for help can be hard. Investing in yourself, your health, and your happiness is one of the most important things you can do, and I promise, you will not regret it.
